Billingham Eagles are top of the ENHL and are as yet unbeaten in the league. On Saturday the Hawks played host to the Eagles at Blackburn Arena for what turned out to be a very tough battle.

The Hawks' fought out a 4-4 draw on the night, and are now unbeaten in their last nine ENHL games.

Mark McDonald scored two of Hawks goals, with one each coming from Craig Sharman and Coach, Bobby Haig. Danny Mackriel picked up two assists on the night, taking his seasons points tally to 50.

Blackburn's MVP award was given to Colin Downie who made 44 sucessful saves from 48 shots.

On Sunday the Hawks took on the Perth Panthers in a challenge match at the Arena. Hawks played with a depleted squad, resting a few players following the previous nights battle against Billingham.

Hawks took the game 11-6, with Dan Mackriel seeing out the coaching role from the bench.
