Thanks go to all those who took time out last season to contribute to Eye of the Hawks.
Have you ever thought about a career in journalism? Do you enjoy the game of hockey? Are you a Blackburn Hawks fan? Do you want to see more new paying supporters in the Arena every week?
If you answerd yes to any of these questions then you should consider the possibility of writing for Eye of the Hawks. You will be given full credit for any contribution published by us and your work will be seen by hundreds of people around the world, not just in Lancashire.
You may be studying for some sort of media or photography qualification, do it professionaly, have an interest as a hobby or just want to get your name seen on the web. Whatever the reason, we'll give you the opportunity to do it! If you are a student then your work could even count towards your qualification.
What qualifies as a contribution?
You can contribute to Eye of the Hawks in a number of ways. We are always looking for people to write match reports for both home and away games. If this isn't your speciality then maybe you would prefer to interview one of the Hawks' stars. It could be that a documentery feature on 'a Day in the Life of a Hockey Fan'. Or if non of these take your fancy then how about a simple news article about the latest goings on in Blackburn Arena? It's up to you!
We aren't just looking for written contributions either. Photographs of the players in action, off the ice and social events are always welcome for inclusion. Maybe it's a friends birthday soon and you want to see their pic on the site, send it in! As well as photo's how about drawings or characatures of the players; a scetch of the Arena or other Hawks related images can also be included. The list is endless!
But maybe your a numbers person. Then how about the latest statistics. A history of the Hawks or player profile, it really is up to you.
How much do I get paid?
You'll be paid as much as we are. Unfortunately that's nothing! If you love the game then put pen to paper or finger to the camara shutter etc, the payment will come in fame, but unfortunately, not cash!
