Arena Capacity:
3,200 seated at each side of the ice and standing on the balcony behind the goal.

Match Times:
Weekend: 6PM face-off, doors open at 5.15PM
Evening: 8PM face-off, doors open at 6.15PM

From M6 J31 follow the signs for Blackburn town centre. At traffic lights at the bottom of Preston New Road (in the town centre) turn left along Barbara Castle Way (dual carriageway). At the end of the road is a roundabout. Take the second exit, go over the bridge and take the first right. Take the first right again and continue to the mini roundabout. Turn right and continue until the lights. Turn left. The Arena is on your left-hand side. Entrance to the car park is to the left after Burger King.

From the south - Bolton, M55 J3, Earcroft. Take the A666 towards Blackburn town centre. On arrival at the town centre you will see a Wickes superstore and Blockbuster Video store. Keep in the right hand lane and turn right for the road to the Arena. Turn left at Burger King for the car park..

From M55 J4 at Guide, follow signs for Blackburn town centre (straight on). On arrival at the town centre the Arena is on your right. Turn right at Burger King for the car park.

Arriving by Train: From Blackburn Station the Arena is a five-minute walk. Come out of the main entrance and turn left. Follow the road until the traffic lights and turn left again. Go to the traffic lights under the railway bridge and you will see the Arena in front of you on your left hand side.
Alternatively, you can take a bus to the Arena from stand H on the boulevard, which is situated infront of the railway station. Catch a Highercroft bus, number 40A or 40C which leave at *.15 and *.45 in the evenings and more regular during the daytime.

Car Parking:
There are hundreds of car parking spaces at the Arena, and hundreds more still at the surrounding superstores. The Arena car park is patrolled by stewards during the games, so get down early for a space.

 

Facilities in the Arena
Blackburn Arena has a café and snackbar where you can purchase hot food and drinks. There are several vending machines situated around the ice serving drinks and chocolate bars. The bar situated above the main entrance serves Carlingä Lager and Thwaitesä Bitter as well as the usual selection of bottled beers, wine and soft-drinks.

Wheelchair users can sit anywhere around the edge of the ice, which is fully covered by Plexi-glassä . There is also a lift that will take you up to the bar area and two disabled users toilets situated infront of the café, next to the male toilets.

Executive seating is available for 50pence extra. The executive seats are in blocks 4 and 11 situated by the centre of the ice.

There is one public telephone inside the Arena, situated in the main rink, to the left hand side of the entrance.

Cash Facilities
There are no cash machines inside the Arena, but a Lloyds Bank and Nat West machine are positioned outside the Asda superstore, one minutes walk from the Arena. Tell somebody on reception if you want to go out to the machine during the game to make sure that you're not charged to get back in! Asda is to the left of the Arena coming out, or the right looking at it from the outside.
